Do you remember “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella” or as we tend to call it “Brandy’s Cinderella”? Starring Brandy and the late great Whitney Houston, this movie was not only groundbreaking but it had cultural importance. Before we were graced with Princess Tiana and the Royal Meghan Markle, we had this representation of a Black Princess. The movie was a recreation of the Disney original by Disney and Rodger’s & Hammerstein stage play but it was the first live-action version of the 90's. Another great thing to mention about the movie is that it featured a total racially diverse cast. Besides being a unique twist on the original the movie also brought together two iconic singers who blessed up with memorable original music like “Impossible”!
